Who Am I
Hello Leather Lovers,
My name is Willi Aumueller.
I was born and raised in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I had the chance to meet my wonderful wife Nyla and moved with her to the Lone Star State.
I have always loved to build things, break stuff, repair it, and create with my own hands.
During my journey through different materials and projects, I got my hands on some leather and fell in love with this incredible material—so soft yet so strong, patient yet incredibly sensitive, and versatile, allowing so many ideas to come true. Leather transforms into all shapes, from the most beautiful painting to the most useful object at the same time.
You can probably tell by now that I really enjoy leather work.
I craft as a hobby, and even if I were doing it full-time, I would still call it a hobby because I truly enjoy it.
I work alone, with the strong support of my awesome wife.
I work from a small workshop in my backyard, equipped with all the essential tools needed for leather crafting. I don’t keep every type of leather on hand; instead, I order materials specifically for each project.
All stitching is done by hand, as I believe it creates a stronger and more durable product than machine stitching. I do not use laser engraving—each design is carefully carved and shaped by hand.
Perfection is a goal I strive for, but I accept that mistakes happen. I learn from every one of them to continually improve my craft.
Orders are not rushed; I take the necessary time to ensure the finished piece meets both your expectations and mine. I do not keep an inventory, so every item is custom made just for you.
